Interactive Sound Installation
The Sonic Self - An exhibition exploring sound related art, will present works by selected pioneering artists, who use sound as their medium, encompassing a spoken word, field recordings, computer generated sound, video projection, interactive art, sound performance, avant-garde theater, live music and DJ sampling. The Sonic Self artists will collectively examine forms in which we communicate with each other and with the world around us by way of articulate sounds, music, dialog, visuals and motion - transforming the perception and transporting the mind through an internal sound experience.

"Pick um up" is a tactile sound sculpture, the soft fuzzies play sound and the sonic frequencies vibrate them. As they are held one feels the vibration which has been describe as corresponding to the heart rate, pulse. Also, one can hear the sound if it is held close to ones ears.
